Dr. Katherine Fan
Dr Fan Yue-Yan Katherine is currently the Consultant Cardiologist, Chief of Services in Cardiac Medical Unit, Grantham Hospital in Hong Kong. She is also an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Hong Kong. She graduated from University of Dundee, Scotland and underwent fellowship training in cardiac electrophysiology in Stanford University Medical Center. Her specialty interests are cardiac electrophysiology and device therapy for heart failure. To reduce the number of clinic visits and hospitalizations by early detection of worsening signs of heart failure, Dr Fan has led a team of remote monitoring services for cardiac implantable electronic devices since 2010, which consists of remote nurses and a group of heart failure specialists.
Dr Fan has a wealth of clinical experience and is happy to share her experiences on how remote monitoring can help cardiac device patients during COVID-19 pandemic.
